1/1/2011 - New Year's Weekend
We were surprised to see a female impala alone in the forest. As we came closer we found the reason. A small, perhaps three day old impala fawn. The mother had left the herd to have her baby. She will probably return in a few days.
We looked with trepidation at the tress for fear of a leopard; having been desperate to see the beautiful cat earlier, now we felt only threat for the mother and her beautiful baby.
