The Taita area of Kenya has a well deserved  reputation for its great variety of birds.
Lions Bluff has joined forces with Jonathan  Mwachongo, a Taita-born ornithologist, to make your holiday in our area a fun-filled birding  experience.

 Jonathan is a qualified ornithologist with many years experience,  not only in birding, but as a guide for all aspects  
 of our amazing flora and fauna.

He can arrange birding walks around Lions Bluff, our campsites and on our popular bush walks. Take him with you as a guide in your own car or, for the real safari experience, use Lions Bluff’s open-sided game vehicle.

   To add to your experience Jonathan can guide half day and full day tours to Lake Jipe in   West Tsavo national park and to the beautiful Taita Hills with their remaining indigenous forest and endemic bird life and flora 
Jonathan keeps a constantly updated bird checklist, which you can buy in the shop, to help you. We look forward to having an expert based on site to enhance your experience at the unique Lions Bluff.
